Zoldo Valley corresponds to the catchment area of Maè, the stream that flows from the bottom of the valley Pecol at the base of the Civetta. The upper valley is open and grassy, but as the river goes down it becames even more narrow. A first channel chokes the valley between the villages of Dont and Forno di Zoldo, while a second, more long and deep, is located south respect to Forno di Zoldo and is called “the canal”. The Muda is the narrowest point of the valley upstream of the confluence of the Mae in the Piave River.
